This was a difficult secret to keep. Yes - by now you realise I've put myself forward to be National Chairman of the Young Conservatives.
Not for another title, but because I think we can do so much more for Young Conservatives across the UK.
The first few day have been incredible, but the message coming through from YCs is clear. They want more.
More branches across the UK, not just the South East and London. More opportunities for young people to stand. More training for young candidates. More voices around the table. More influence on national policy. Making sure every YC knows what's happening and what's in it for them. More for young men and women who want to put themselves forwards.
I get that. And so I'm listening.
